This week we’re recognising National Road Safety Week and the role traffic control plays in keeping workers, road users and local communities safe through construction zones.

Every cone, sign, lane closure and traffic controller is there for a reason - protecting lives. Roadwork environments change daily, and slowing down, staying alert and following directions can make all the difference in ensuring everyone gets home safely.

At Garde, our crews work roadside every day managing live traffic environments across civil and utility projects. We ask all motorists to take extra care when travelling through work zones:
• Slow down and observe speed limits
• Follow traffic control directions and signage
• Stay alert to changing road conditions
• Be patient, safety comes first
