Here’s our latest CERES Fair Wood team member, Cian, and a decent plank of Yellow Gum from the Black Saturday bushfires 🪾

This particular batch has a prominent grain - some with beautiful gum veins, others select grade (feature-free), with a pink-yellow hue to top it off 🪵

Japanese Cedar (Sugi) appreciation post 🪵

These beaut bits of wood are sustainably harvested from plantation in the Victorian Otways, and are a rarity within timber warehouses in Melbourne 🪾

Scientifically a member of the cypress family, this Japanese Cedar is a softer wood with a fantastic grain, as seen here, and becomes slightly orangey when mellows 🪵
