Make the most of this spring weather and extend your garden time into the evening with one of our unique handmade kadai imported from India. No longer suitable for cooking we repurpose them as a beautiful fire pit, with a BBQ grill if you like. They make great planters or water gardens too.
Price includes a grate and stand. BBQ grill is extra.
We sell by weight. $15 per kilo.
No two are the same but as a guide, 80cm kadai weigh around 30kg, a 125cm Kadai weighs around 60-70kg. All sizes from 75-125cm diameter available.

It’s probably not the best time to be thinking about cosy evenings around a fire but it soon will be! We have just unloaded our latest container and have some stunning handcrafted Indian kadhai in stock. Previously used to cook food in, we ethically purchase and repurpose as very special fire pits, as unique as the person who made them. They can also be used as a feature planter, perfect for succulents, or use one to create a beautiful water garden to cool your outdoor space and provide much needed water for the local wildlife. With cool autumn evenings coming, take the opportunity to cozy up, relax and enjoy the mesmerising flames of a fire in one of our kadhai fire bowls. No ordinary fire pit, our kadhais have been brought all the way from Rajasthan. In the past they were used to cook large quantities of food to be shared at one of the many Indian festivals and celebrations. Now no longer suitable for cooking, they can be repurposed as a fire pit. Each is as individual as the person who made it and are many years old. Who knows the stories they could tell. We have enjoyed creating a water garden today in one of our Indian kadhais. A kadhai is a cooking pot which was once used to cook large quantities of food at Indian festivals. Final touch tonight as the sun dropped with some floating candles. They can also be used as a fire pit for the cooler evenings.

Our candle boxes are our most popular item at the moment thanks to Dea on 'The Block' though her candle box had a brass frame. Ours have a aged zinc frame which look perfect with soft industrial styling. The Zinc takes on any colour you want to create a different look wherever you want to place it.
