After more than 40 years, a train arrived at Raywood station on Sunday morning at 8:48am.

And it was six months ahead of schedule.

Raywood station is finished early.

It's part of our Bendigo and Echuca Line upgrade.

We're transforming our rail network to run more trains, more often.

And not just in Melbourne - but right across the state.

If this is your idea of a good time, then I've got some very good news.

We're hiring more than 100 new train drivers to drive the real thing when the Metro Tunnel opens.

They'll go through a 44-week training program in the classroom, and with a trainer in our new High Capacity Metro Trains.

The Metro Tunnel is on track to open a year ahead of schedule, so we're hiring drivers now to make sure we're ready for passengers on day one.

So if or you want to be part of delivering more trains, more often - or if the graphics in the simulators aren't quite realistic enough for you - then now's the time to apply.
