SkyPad Living

SkyPad Living That said, my apartment has a lot of lazy space - and by this I mean there were a lot of opportunities to make available areas work harder.

Living in a high-rise apartment in a new and growing high-density precinct in Melbourne, my apartment is small - but not micro - and has a great view and I love it. But being high-rise & high-density means that there are no quirky corners to turn into charming alcoves and the ceiling heights couldn't cater for even a Lilliputian mezzanine. I spent a load of time investigating multi-use and trans

forming furniture - but I knew (thought?) I needed an expert's guidance. So I looked high and low but couldn't find anyone specialising in my kind of apartment (I did hear the term "dog box" muttered on one occasion!). Those that did deign to visit simply trotted out cut-down house layouts or miniaturised versions - I live in a small space, not in Lilliput. So I was on my own - but thinking again, I really wasn't. In my precinct there are literally tens of thousands of others sharing my style of living. I decided to do something - and this led to SkyPad Living - a social enterprise that finds innovative design (from transforming furniture to new technology) and share these with my fellow "vertical dwellers". Welcome to SkyPad Living!
