Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker or Second Class Welder to join our team in Kilsyth. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of fabrication, welding, and fitting tasks across our diverse project portfolio. While formal qualifications are preferred, candidates with significant experience in MIG welding and strong mechanical knowledge will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of welding applications, primarily MIG welding.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install metal components and structures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Occasionally work on site, as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Qualified Candidates:
• Qualified Boilermaker, Second Class Welder.
• Experienced Candidates:
• Extensive experience in MIG welding.
• Sound mechanical knowledge.

ST Engineering based in Kilsyth is looking for a mechanical fitter to join the team, qualifications not necessary but must have good mechanical skills. Role would involve the following.
Fitting body’s to new truck chassis’s being hook units, compactors, skip units and a verity of special builds.
Removing and refurbishing body’s ready for new chassis.
Repairs and maintenance to the above type bodies.
Candidate will need to have good English, be well presented, able to work in a team environment, be self motivated and have a clean work ethic.
This is a role with plenty of variety. Is a full time casual role on a 4 day week leading to a full time permanent position after trial period.

Candidates must be self motivated, able to think for themselves and be work well within a team.

1. Boilermaker/Fabricator full time position in Kilsyth working with heavy plate.

2. Fitter full time position in Kilsyth with site work. Role will mainly consist of operating horizontal borer and portable line borer.

3. Trade assistant/ labourer must be mechanically minded and have basic welding skills. Full time position between two sites Kilsyth and Bayswater. Role will consist of stripping and reassembling machinery in preparation for repairs or fit outs.

4. Apprentice Boilermaker/Fabricator Full time position between two sites Kilsyth and Bayswater

We wish to announce that Scraptech Pty Ltd( T/as ST Engineering) (Dave & Simon Cameron) are taking acquisition of Hardwood Forest Products Australia.

Hardwood Forest Products Australia will not be changing its name, its location or contact numbers & emails. There will be new contact mobile numbers & email addresses for the new owners Dave & Simon Cameron.

Dave & Simon have a wealth of knowledge in the earthmoving and recycling industry and over the last 10 years have been involved with certain areas of the logging industry. This making Hardwood Forest Products a perfect acquisition to their business.

After 13 years of owning Hardwood Forest Products and a further 10+ years involved in the industry Steve has decided to full time retirement and I have decided on a change in career.
We would like to thank all of our customers for their business & support over this time.

We will both be assisting in the change over of HFPA to ST Engineering and helping out with support for parts, technical information & sales. We are certain that Dave & Simon will continue to sustain the reputation and quality that we have managed to build over the last 13 years.
