An eight day oak and mahogany Welsh long case clock by J. Lehman of Swansea dates to the 19th century and features a beautifully figured and inlaid case, swan neck pediment and an elaborate hand painted dial.
The dial has certainly seen better days but the surviving decoration including the pastoral scene in the arch, landscape details, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar gives a wonderful glimpse of how striking this clock would’ve been when new.
This clock came to us after it had been subjected to grey water exposure and missing mahogany veneers around the base.
The clock has been de contaminated, cleaned, Veneers repaired and the original French Polishing and waxed.

Mid century Teak dresser. Had a fair bit of missing veneer and a very stained and worn top.
We replaced the veneer on all the edges and a few other spots , stripped, sanded and re polished edges the surface.

A pair of Australian made rocking chairs from the 1940’s that had had a rough life which you can see in the last photo.
Now completely restored. Timber French polished, new springs and re upholstered in Warwick Beachcomber Atlantic. Now good for a few more decades.

Two Antique Edwardian armchair.
Can’t really see it in the before pic but one was painted and the timber was not visible at all.
The client brief was to restore them sympathetically.
Timber French polished and wax polished . Re upholstered in Warwick haven indigo, Bedford navy and amboli indigo

Our customer requested to preserve all the patina (scratches dints and nail holes) formed over the last 150 years. They just wanted the natural colour to replace the grey weathered look.
We finished it with shellac and a wax polish. Good for another 150 years
