This gorgeous bar cart is now finished & looking a million dollars! Unfortunately I can’t take any of the credit on this piece; it was all Mum’s work.

This antique Jacobean style bar cart is the only one that we’ve come across like it. It’s very unique, not just in its style, but also that the shelf raises & lowers as the top opens to form a level surface for drinks to be mixed on!

It is made from European Oak, & all the original hardware is intact. It has lovely barley-twist legs with castors, & felt pads for glasses & bottles to sit on. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece.

It has been refinished in an eco-friendly hard wax oil in a very smart warm dark brown shade. It is just waiting to go to its new home as a very sophisticated & moody addition!

Pickup in Frankston Heights or can possibly be delivered for a fee. Interstate delivery available. Inspections are encouraged. Please DM if interested 🖤

And here is the full reveal of this washstand.

Our last piece to be finished, we had this vintage washstand in storage for almost 3 years (!!), but it is finally completed. And looking much smarter now!

We’ve painted it with Cast Iron, a lovely warm black, & finished it with a satin varnish for increased protection in a bathroom. The interior is a custom blend. It is full of vintage character for a bathroom!

It features a space for a sink - 50 x 39 cm; antique brass handles & a removable shelf in the cabinet.

Dimensions - L 100 cm, D 53, H 83. Sink space - 50 x 39 cm.

Pickup in Frankston Heights or can possibly be delivered for a fee. Interstate delivery available. Inspections are encouraged.

Please DM us if you’re interested in this or any of our other available pieces (check out our Available highlight for more) 🖤

Glass cabinets have been one of our favourite types of pieces to refinish, & I’m a bit sad that this is our last one! I’ve never been a fan of etched glass designs, but I love the nautical etching & waves around the wood on this one 💙

We have brought this piece back to bare wood & refinished it with our favourite eco-friendly hardwax oil in a warm shade to complement the beautiful blue Willow Bough wallpaper. It is a cool light blue with a touch of grey.

It features two glass shelves, working locks & original hardware. It truly is a one-of-a-kind piece!

Dimensions - L 94 cm, D 42, H 130.5.

Pickup in Frankston Heights or can be delivered for a fee. Interstate delivery available. Inspections are encouraged. DM if interested! 💙⚓️🤍

Introducing our final Jacobean piece…

We have loved refinishing Jacobean pieces over the last 3.5 years - despite the huge effort, they always come up beautifully. There is something about the quality craftsmanship, fine details & character that just isn’t found in modern pieces.

This last piece is no exception. Full of beautiful details, solid wood & a gorgeous octagonal mirror, it is full of character & historic charm. We chose a darker colour for this piece, which goes very nicely with the Oak wood.

It features three drawers, brass handles, beautiful barley twist legs & mirror supports, & a beautiful mirror made from the old glass that is so clear (despite the tarnish). The mirror, supports & the backing board are all removable, which means you can get three different looks from this piece!

It is in very good antique condition, with a moderate amount of tarnish to the mirror. There is a stain to the top (see last photo).

Dimensions - L 122, D 50.5, H 78.5 + extra 82 with mirror.

Pickup in Frankston Heights or local & interstate delivery possibly available. Inspections are encouraged.

Please DM if you’re interested in this one-of-a-kind piece 🤍

One of our favourite types of furniture to refinish has always been glass cabinets - there’s something about how it all comes together once the glass is reinstalled & sparkling clean - it makes a piece look so beautiful! ✨

This lovely piece is now sold, but we will have one more vintage glass cabinet coming up in the next few weeks - stay tuned for details 💙

Despite only having a few pieces left to finish, our progress this year has been much slower than we thought it would be. Sicknesses, heat waves, difficult pieces & other interruptions have slowed us down a lot. Nevertheless, this piece is complete!

Even though it looks just like a glass cabinet now, this piece was originally a Brunswick Panatrope - a music player with inbuilt record player, radio, speaker & amplifier with space for records too. They were made from 1925 to around 1935 in Chicago & sold for $700 - $12,706 in today’s currency! Swipe right to see how this piece looked originally.

By the time we bought it, someone had already made some big changes to it - internals gutted, glass added to the doors & the base altered. We hope the additional changes we have made honour its history & set it up for many more years of use! Unfortunately it was not able to be brought back to bare wood.

It has been painted in ‘Raw Silk’ inside & ‘Cast Iron’ on the outside, finished with Clear Wax.

Dimensions - L 81 cm, D 51, H 105.5.

Pickup in Frankston Heights or can possibly be delivered for a fee. Interstate delivery available.
