After two floods this year I’m finally getting time to work on a couple of long term restorations. This was pretty much a gutted shell that is in early stages of converting into cocktail cabinet.

Restored the woodwork on this beautiful old armchair. The armrests are silky oak and we’re lightly stained and then lacquered with 30% gloss.

Love when clients get to see their old radiograms restored and running for the first time!

The last delivery of the year. We restored and converted this beautiful old radiogram… minor veneer repairs and a full lacquer respray. We then installed a PYLE Bluetooth amplifier, Sony turntable, new speakers and fitted new speaker cloth…. we kept as much of the original radio dial and k***s to keep the unit looking as authentic and original as possible. Seeing how excited owner Mary was when we delivered it to her home this morning is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.

Our custom designed floating bed starting to take shape. Bed is designed to look like it is floating on air via a cantilever support system. Bed head, staining and clear finishing to come.

Meet RF’s version of the Frankenstein monster. We built a custom coffin, added a Bluetooth amplifier, record player, speakers and added the front fascia from a vintage Kreisler Stereophonic radiogram… we call it ‘The Coffingram’.

Installed our MCM inspired room/entry screen. It’s almost identical in design to a screen that is at the front of the house. Converted a display case into a PS5 hub, added LED lighting above the partition wall and also fitted the shadow box. Sunken lounge area is next in line.

Finished and installed our MCM inspired shadow box this afternoon. Always loved the design and look of vintage style shadow boxes and the openness and mirroring effect they give.

Finished chair from our previous video. After sanding and reassembling we re-stained the timber base and clear finished them.
