Hey everyone !

I’ve decided that TLD is going to take an extended break as of August 2022. This isn’t because I don’t love working for myself (rolling up at 11 to the warehouse most days is pretty fu***ng great), or because I don’t love designing the cutest s**t ever (and people buying it too - awesome) on the equipment and tools I have spent years buying and collecting.

I’m taking a break because I’m 25 and tired - and I personally think this a terrible combo. Life is made to be lived and all of that jazz and I wanna live it up without having to worry an email that I haven’t replied to (of which there have been so many). Bizniz and life admin is inescapable, but at the moment I’d much rather be deciding what kind of spritz (elderflower is my fave) I’ll be drinking at 11am on a Thursday morning on a pebble beach in Turkey than whether I should spend $10000 on my next delivery of Tasmanian Oak (and whether that’s the right timber for upcoming jobs and worrying whether that will sell and where am I going to store it and do I have the money to pay a friend come help me unload it and am I charging the right amount and so on and so on!).

Obviously 2 years of Covid and global pessimism has played a role in my thinking but we’ve all lived through this so I don’t need to tell you what that feels like.

I’ll be doing a studio/garage sale of all my left over creations in July, plus some plants from my home, some tools and loads of timber. Most of it will be full priced because tbh I’ve been undercharging for years and have not got anymore money now than when I started.
