We love seeing partnerships like this one in action!

Our participants had the opportunity to build real, practical skills through Newcastle Rescue & Consultancy - RTO 41033's Smart & Skilled program.

These skills make a difference both in the workforce and at home💙

What a magical day out for our participants! 🎭🦁

Our Social, Community and Creative Pathways participants recently travelled to Sydney to experience the incredible Lion King musical!

From the moment the curtain rose, everyone was captivated by the vibrant costumes, powerful music, and amazing performances.

The day supported building friendship, confidence, and creating lasting memories together. Watching everyone laugh and sing along was really heartwarming 💛

A big thank you to our incredible staff who made this trip possible, and to our wonderful participants for bringing such joy and enthusiasm to the day!

Today, Mai-Wel was proud to sponsor Newcastle Business Club's June luncheon focused on neurodiversity and neuro-inclusion.

The discussion reinforced something that aligns closely with our values. Inclusion is not simply about accommodations or adjustments. It is about creating environments where people feel they belong, are valued for who they are, and have the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways.

A key takeaway was that great leaders do not just accommodate differences, they create workplaces where people can thrive because of them.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to an important conversation about building more inclusive communities and workplaces for all.

We are blown away🖤🏉

Through the Maitland Blacks Charity Day, we raised just shy of $12,000!

This is a result we couldn't have achieved without the incredible generosity of the Maitland Rugby Club, their players, members and supporters, and our amazing sponsors and prize donors, including:

Bradford Hotel Rutherford, Woolworths Maitland, Total Tools Rutherford, Telarah Bowling Club, Booth Contracting Pty Ltd, Maddies of Bolwarra, Dullboy's Rutherford, Hunter Valley Cookie Co, Peachy GreenGrocer, Thrive Scents, Eighty-Eight Custom, Saje Beauty Aesthetics , Beautification, and Maitland Rugby Club.

Thank you for helping us do more for the people we support 💛

We would also like to acknowledge the talented artist Jess Sulter (Art by Jess), who created the beautiful artwork featured on the jerseys. The piece, named Build, is a powerful reminder of the symbiotic relationship between Mai-Wel staff and participants, fostering growth, resilience and empowerment.

We were at Newcastle High School today for their 2026 Career Expo! 🎓

It was a great opportunity to connect with students and share how Mai-Wel can support them on their journey after school.

For students finishing school, there are so many pathways available with Mai-Wel, from Workforce Australia's Transition to Work program and Eligible School Leaver supports through Inclusive Employment Australia, to Mai-Wel Academy and NDIS pathways, our team is here to help young people find the right next step.
