LET THERE BE LOFT // Derived from the Latin word dormire which means to sleep, dormer windows provide a source of natural light and ventilation into the attic of a building with a pitched roof. They’re an effective way to create more usable space.

RESPONSIBLE CHOICES // Wood is a low-carbon option for building – it is renewable, it stores carbon for the long-term, and it has a lower embodied energy than many other building materials. This is why timber windows and doors can assist in reducing the carbon footprint of a building.

FBA // Being a family business is about more than ownership. It is about the standards we uphold, the skills we pass on and what we are building for the future. This year, those values were reflected in NICCO being independently recognised as the winner of the 2026 NTHA NSW & ACT Best Off-Site Manufacturing Award. A proud milestone for our family and our entire team. Today, we join the Family Business Association in celebrating National Family Business Day and the family businesses that make up 70% of Australian businesses and employ 50% of the nation’s workforce. We are proud to be one of them.

WE WON! // Recognised for manufacturing excellence, NICCO has been named Best Off-site Manufacturer (Timber) at the 2026 NSW & ACT Timber & Hardware Industry Awards.

Presented by the National Timber & Hardware Association (NTHA), the award recognises innovation, quality and efficiency in off-site timber manufacturing. Finalists are selected by the NTHA, making this independent industry endorsement particularly meaningful.

It is recognition of an approach to manufacturing shaped over decades. Our founder, Nick Toskas, has been part of the timber and joinery industry since the late 1960s, with the knowledge and standards he brought (and still brings) to NICCO still evident in how we manufacture today.

Most importantly, this award belongs to our team. Their skill, knowledge, care and pride are behind everything we make. We couldn’t be prouder to have their work recognised by our industry.

Thank you NTHA, and congratulations to all the finalists and winners.
