NEVER BIN A BATTERY!

Covering the terminal connectors will not prevent a fire!

This battery had the terminal connectors covered with tape and placed in a skip. It was found smoldering amongst a skip full of waste putting our staff and facility at risk.

The battery was submerged in a bucket of water and it was "bubbling" for days.

Take battery disposal seriously and do the right thing!

Never put batteries into the skip bin. They are a fire hazard and a hazard to our facility and staff.

Lithium-ion batteries are the most common type of battery used in rechargeable devices due to their small size and good power capabilities. They can also be highly flammable.
