After some years of urging from my own private Opposition Leader, I finally built a new letterbox for our place in Ainslie, Canberra. If you'd like one like it, and live in the Shoalhaven or the ACT, send me a message. I will build a few , with all recycled materials, and maybe one might suit!

A bizarre tangent from my usual. A table incorporating roadside electoral posters of all the parties I could find here in Canberra. A colourful outcome of the 2016 Federal Election !

Here's another table made from timber from the Narooma mangroves, with salvaged bits from a dog kennel and an old gas BBQ. The green is off a boat I think. I'll be exhibiting at the Jervis Bay art trail which is on from 20 May to 13 June. There are 30 odd exhibition spaces open during this period - I'll be at two, one at Erowal Bay and one at Vincentia.

HI G*i this table is the Mystery Bay table with a bit of the Cobargo grey in it for good measure. Actually found a terrific bit of mangrove at the back of Narooma with loads of old milled and weathered hard wood, some of it in this one also. Almost finished . Its for the May exhibition in Jervis Bay. Now I have to concoct a story which addresses the theme of the exhbition - "Illuminations " . Often the most challenging part of the process.

Hi San and Suki - here's something Ive been working on with the dimensions you gave to me. A serious blend this one , with timber from Jervis Bay, Cave Beach [also near Jervis], a plank from an old piano and a few pieces from an Old Parliament House desk. Cant remember where the blue came from. The legs are from Steamers Beach, a favourite haunt of mine.

I was in Sydney a few weeks back and had an opportunity to collect some Botany Bay driftwood and some of this timber is in this table, bought by a Canberra couple. I also had four sales in the current Jervis Bay exhbition run by Jervis Bay and Basin Arts. Check it out if you are down that way , in Huskisson. Its on for another week or so, closing on the 17th .

A new table for the Jervis Bay exhibition. The first coin one sold pretty soon after the opening. This one Im calling "Brown Poles" and I only regret Gough has died and I'm unlikely to get $1.3 Million for this one.

A new table , this time using driftwood and coins left over from a dozen overseas trips. A few old Australian pennies etc in it too. A bit of tangent from my usual look ! Not quite finished. I'm exhbiting at the Jervis Bay and Basin summer exhibition opening on Friday, but open through to January . At the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum { previously the Lady Denham Museum].

Someone asked the other day if I made larger tables. Not usually I said, but here's one I'm working on at the moment. A hallstand sort of effort.
