A family affair. James hands over the “knock-‘em-downs” that he made (with some help from Ian) to CFA representative, Paul, son of James. The flames were beautifully painted by Cheryl, wife of James, mother of Paul. That’s fine - but what are they!? The “houses” will be set up at CFA Open Days and public displays as an activity for children. The goal is to use hoses to aim water at the flames, knocking the hinged windows and doors open, thus making the flames go out. Sounds like fun, can I have a go’

To show that they are not just one-trick ponies, making bigger and bigger chicken coops, Jeff and Andrew turned their hands to making a very small chicken coop - or rather, a very small nesting box. At least the eggs should be easy to find. A very smart rustic design, guys, even with a verandah.
