Sending a big thank you to everyone who purchased a Christmas tree this year - we really appreciate you welcoming a unique tree into your home!

A lot of work goes into each and every tree. Warren (dad) sources the timber from businesses around town, loading up the trailer with pallets full of staples and nails. This is heavy and awkward work, but there is the bonus that it isn't going straight in to landfill (as most pallets do).

After the timber is unloaded, he removes every staple and nail, and then sorts the timber, discarding anything that is not a suitable quality. Then he cuts the wood into useful lengths and begins to build a tree.

We're sharing this process not to show how hard he works, but to show that there is joy in useful work. Dad, who suffers from Parkinson's, finds this outlet a wonderful pass time, and we thank you for supporting him. He was even back working on this mud kitchen today.

And to the wonderful folk who bought a tree last year, we love seeing them on your front lawns and porches as we drive around Gunnedah.
