Ruijie have come up with a great little piece of equipment with their outdoor access points.

Running off Starlink on this installation in Marulan we were able to cover the full 25acre property with reliable wifi for their cameras and devices.

The access points are rated for 300mtrs on the 5G band and we were achieving 120mbs download around 400mtrs from the home.
Even behind the machinery shed through walls of iron we still had 61mbs download speed.

Needless to say the owners are over the moon with the setup.

How’s your rural internet?
Starlink have today opened Australian preorders for their new Satellite Internet Service.
This will be delivered using Low Earth Orbit Satellites(LEOSATS) meaning speeds and latency will be far superior to Satellite NBN.
EXpected speeds are between 50-150Mbs with latency expected between 20-40ms, and to top it all off it will come with an unlimited data plan.
There will be a maximum connection number per region with subscriptions offered on a first in first served basis so jump on the website and check it out.

So we spent the day in the hills, this one was a long way out with no option of mobile reception at the homestead but some solid 4G signal up on a ridgeline. Thanks to Stuart and the guys at Goulburn Solar for providing the power necessary to keep the repeater station running. The happy owner now has 4G mobile and data in and around the entire valley of the homestead
