MYOCUM RIDGE FARM •
Perched on the crest of a working cattle property in Byron Bay’s hinterland, Myocum Ridge Farm is a considered response to its rural setting. Designed as two elongated pavilions arranged in an L-shape, the home follows the natural contours of the hill, connected by a covered walkway of timber and stone.
At its centre, a landscaped courtyard creates a sheltered heart for the home, with living spaces, outdoor areas and moments of connection arranged around it. Each bedroom is positioned to capture the morning sun and uninterrupted views across the surrounding hills, while the main pavilion draws on the warmth of the northern aspect and a western screened room frames the changing light at the end of the day.
A palette of stone, hardwood, concrete and glass grounds the architecture, selected for its resilience and the way these materials quietly evolve over time. The result is a home that feels deeply connected to place, shaped by the landscape and designed to endure through the changing seasons.
