Malabar Studio
Malabar Studio is located just outside of Beaudesert in rural S.E Queensland, Australia and is operated by 2 friends. Gail and Sandie both live on their respective properties on Malabar Road which provided the name for their joint venture. They both have a passion for animals (horses in particular) the rural lifestyle and the unplanned adventures that frequently occur when you live on acreage. Both know the hardships of drought, repairing fences, nursing a sick horse or dog, bogging a zero turn or hitting your thumb with a hammer. Malabar Studio evolved when the pair decided they could combine their skills to produce and make available to the public an assortment of quality, interesting, functional or quirky items that reflect their individual personalities and their collective taste in imaginative artisanship.
Malabar Studio provides quality items and embroidery services, you will find an assortment of patches, customized lampshades and home wares, to personalized keepsake items and unique ‘one off’ items. We can embroider on a variety of materials; from delicate tissue paper, assorted fabrics, to Harris Tweed fabric and upholstery grade leather. Gail has a fondness for quality Harris Tweed which is often used for Malabar Studios heat packs, cushion covers and other interesting products. Leather is another medium that Gail enjoys working with as evidenced in some of the unique items created and offered for sale.
We offer embroidery for work or personal shirts and other clothing items - contact us to discuss your requirements. Custom artwork can be digitized to order.
