Our first in house designs, the 6ixty range of solid American oak furniture has become a design classic both within Australia and overseas. This range develops on the mid-century design ethic but adds a unique new twist. Uniquely we are the first designers to introduce the flexibility of being able to reverse the colour to an oak finish if the customer wishes, giving 4 distinct looks to the one item. Entirely designed in Canberra at 6ixty.com.au and launched in February 2015, the 6ixty2 range has met with universal praise by all those that have seen it. This range began with the idea of combining industrial design with the mid-century design of the 6ixty range. What could be done, where would it go? The initial design draft had to include 1.Simplicity 2. Economic and uncomplicated production processes, 4. Clever use of flatpack technology to reduce the end price to the customer by about 20% while still maintaining a high quality finished product that does not have a ‘flatpack look’. This range is made in both oak and walnut veneers to reduce timber consumption by a ratio of 20 times compared to solid wood construction. The highlight of this range, the 6ixty2 dining table is incredibly simple. In fact too simple to look as good as it does. Combining only 2 design elements the oak or walnut top and the metal legs put together with great economy and simplicity. The oak range comes with stain chrome legs. The walnut range comes with a choice of either satin chrome or black chrome legs. The Veecee Range. All items in this quality line of cabinet and dining furniture are formed from American oak veneer with solid American oak legs.. This construction method minimises freight and production costs and ensures that items arrive efficiently and undamaged. The Veecee range is manufactured in Vietnam. A combination of many production skills results in a light and happily refreshing range of occasional furniture. The three component materials are glass (printed) inexpensive and recyclable, metal, recycled and recyclable and reprocessed timber offcuts. The components then designed in a brand new format to be both exciting and appealing. The Zine range began as a small coffee table and, due to popular demand over the years has expanded to include a hall table, desk and other designs. Ever popular thanks to the harmonious blend of materials used combined with the low cost structure, the zine range are produced in Taiwan.
