Yesterday I received my first order for 6 of these chairs!

I can’t say enough about how chuffed (and relieved) I am.

I know I can make, but there’s a big leap between that and someone willing to put their trust in you and believe in what you’re doing.

I’ve got to say a big thanks to my man Rob at (with whom this is the start of an exciting collaboration…)

….now on to the making!

👉 My workshop is quiet

👉 I am self reliant - I can resharpen my tools as soon as they're dull

👉 I don't need a large workshop to house loads of expensive tools

👉 I can adapt quickly to a change in design

👉 I don't have to spend hours sanding (as my hand plane does that for me in one swipe)

👉 I get a sweat on (so I don't need gym membership)

👉 They're fun to use (though my mood can swing to dire frustration in an instant)

👉 They improve manual dexterity (meaning I can now cut a straight slice from a loaf)

Just a bit of fun - I do use power tools/machines for the more laborious tasks.

But I do encourage others to pick up a hand tool and get crafting - too many are missing this outlet these days.

Feel free to add to the list above in the comments section (yes, I'm talking to you power tool users).
