FDB Møbler L43 MK46 sofa by Mogens Koch

In 1947, Mogens Koch designed a light and functionalist sofa as a special commission for Gammel Kjøgegaard, a Danish manor near the town of Køge. The post-war era provided the opportunity and resources for new trends and forms, with simple functionalism serving as a cornerstone for many of the period's designers. Beautiful designs for everyday living.

It is so lovely to be opening in the leafy suburb of Eltham. To slow down and provide a place for contemplation and connection.

Open Room is a small family business est. in 2014. Having moved from Collingwood to Eltham we look forward to welcoming our new local community.

Our specialty is original outdoor and indoor furniture but we also have incredible rugs, art, lighting and accessories.
