Fabulous new candles in-store by Natec’lay Candles all hand made, hand poured coconut soy candles in beautiful hand made pottery made in Japan. It’s a great sign for bespoke makers when you can’t find a supply in Australia because everyone is sold out! Keep it up Australian Potters. I have combined the candles with South Australian pottery by Great Bight Pottery (the infamous but busy Pam Diment), and it looks wonderful. Pam has been experimenting with Japanese glazes, so the two together are a perfect fit. And, the shop smells sensational, even through a mask! Come in have a browse at Crystal Brook or DM me to purchase and pick up on your way through. Exciting days here; exhibition opening tomorrow at 2pm by the very talented Mark Zed for SALA. Introducing my little vintage wool collection. I have had so much fun gathering these pieces of vintage wool, many of them courtesy of my friend Jo Brooks who used to collect off-cuts from the Onkaparinga outlet to make clothing for her children in the 80’s. One of the black checks is an old skirt courtesy of another friend. Again, most of the cushions have feather inners in keeping with the time. The throw rug is made of the salvaged scraps from odd bits left over from the cushions and chair,which I backed with a soft minky fabric.
