Happy King's Birthday long weekend!!!

The shop is open for normal hours Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm and Monday 10am-2pm. Chiltern Winter market is on tomorrow 9am to 1pm at the Chiltern memorial Hall on Conness Street and there is an amazing art exhibition at the Chiltern Courthouse on Main Street all weekend.

I've just become a stockist for Peppermint Grove candles and have the Lemongrass and Lime candles and diffuser that I've been burning in the shop for the last couple of years. I've also got the small candle and diffuser in Watermelon scent that I use at home as well. This is an Australian owned and made product and proud to stock.

I've also finished a few more items and included photos in this post, every single item was initially given to me and looked absolutely nothing like the finished product 🤣 also don't forget that Chiltern now has two op shops open, Glenview Op Shop is in Conness Street Opposite Didge's Diner and the Chiltern Community Op Shop Inc is in Main Street next to the information centre.

I have the heaters going in the shop so it's definitely taken the chill out the rooms, looking forward to seeing people out and enjoying the weekend sunny weather xx

So... I'm feeling so so much better after I got the winter cold from hell 🤧😷 thank you for all the well wishes and I'm nearly back to normal (well as normal as I get 🤣)

I've finished a few pieces that had been nearly completed and are now in the shop all ready for a new home. I'm open tomorrow until 4pm and tomorrow 10am-2pm. Don't forget that most of the shops in Chiltern are open today until at least 3pm and are a great alternative if you get rained out elsewhere 🎉

We've got Posh Plonk On Main, Didge's Diner and Chiltern bakery open today if you're looking for food and coffee (plus Nat Ord also offers coffee) so come and visit ❤️

This is my second Mother's Day without my mother Maree and frankly it's harder this year because last year I was buried in paperwork and complicated family relationships which did not allow me much space for grieving or memories.

No, my mother wasn't perfect but I know that she tried her best and fiercely loved her children with all she had. She also chose my father John to have and raise children with so Mum obviously had amazing instincts as well!!

So thankful to Mum for making me promise to take care of Pablo the dachshund if she couldn't so I have had a clinging barnacle and the cat has a stalker for over two years and I honestly couldn't be happier (no comment from Bridget) ❤️🤣

Love your Mum while you can, forgive if you need to or can and remember that no one is perfect so just have that second wine or coffee and take a breath 🌹❤️❤️❤️

Pablo may be happy that I've been home sick so I can cater to him and his girlfriend Bridget (the cat) but it doesn't stop him from judging me from across the room...🤦🤣🤣

I kept the shop closed today but I've decided to open tomorrow Saturday 9 May from 1pm to 4pm as the lovely Sally from Havershams Palace will be helping me. She's going to be the customer service face and I'll be the one wearing a mask hopefully taking payments and answer questions if needed. I decided to open in case there is anyone needing to shop for last minute mother's Day gifts or just doing some shopping in general.

I'm uncertain about opening on Sunday just yet, I'll wait and see how I go after tomorrow afternoon but I won't have anyone helping on Sunday so... I'll post the hours as soon as I can make a decision.

Thanks for all the well wishes and support, hopefully the forecast is correct for next week and we get some warmer days again 🤞🤞🤞

Happy Saturday everyone ☺️

I've just finished a wooden stool this morning, it's painted flat black with mineral paint on the bottom and the top has been sanded back, stained and had a stencil applied to the seat. It's all been sealed with a furniture wax to help with water repelling and hard wearing. I've got two more stools that I'm going to finish in different colours... you'll know what colours when I figure it out about two minutes before I start 🤦🤣

I've included some other photos of stock that may suit someone looking for a Mother's Day present for next weekend, of course I've got a variety of other pieces that may suit someone shopping for themselves!

And just in case any of you are wondering...yes, I'm about to get back into the framed art pieces that I have been doing, I've just taken a break to do some renovations at home and move the shop so watch this space for the finished pieces that have already been spoken for and some new ones 👏☺️🎉

I've finally gotten around to finishing a couple of projects that I'd started a while ago but moving the shop took priority...

Out came the printed tissue paper and a simple woven rubbish bin became a light shade with lace detail and a couple of matching small frames got slightly different treatments but I think both came out beautifully.

I'm loving being in the bigger brighter shop and it's constantly evolving at the moment while I get it to match the picture in my head 🤣
