Fun Facts Friday π
Something new we are doing every Friday, just to give some insight of what a cabinetry business is all about.
This weekβs Fun Facts Friday is all about who we are and how it all started!
π¨ Weβre a small family-run business, mostly operated by Adam β although many of you would also know and have dealt with Jess along the way.
π This year marks 12 years of being self-employed!
π¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦ Outside of work, weβre busy raising our 3 boys, aged 8, 6 and 5.
π οΈ Adam officially hits 20 years of industry experience this year. He started out in shopfitting at just 15 years old, before beginning his cabinet making apprenticeship at 17.
π Over those 20 years, weβve gained experience across all aspects of cabinetry and joinery β both residential and commercial. That experience includes shopfitting, custom cabinetry, detailed joinery, solid timber work, solid surface work, and CAD design programs. These days, our main focus is high-quality residential cabinetry.
π We operate from a fully equipped workshop with CNC machinery, saws, edgebanders and more. Having everything in-house allows us to maintain quality control, work efficiently and deliver quicker turnaround times β while still keeping our pricing competitive.
π From the first phone call right through to installation, you deal directly with Adam. He handles everything personally β from 3D drawings and quoting to material ordering, scheduling and installs. As many would know, he keeps a pretty full workload!
πͺ΅ Initially trading as A & J Cabinetry & Joinery, during the COVID years Wicked Wood Work was born. It originally started as a creative outlet for custom-made kids items β or βtoysβ as some have referred to them as π
πSince relocating interstate, we decided to keep the Wicked Wood Work trading name as it had become such a big part of who we are.
Thanks to everyone who continues to support our small business β we genuinely appreciate it! π
