I appreciate all the welcome backs! I've been here quitetly working away here, but it's taken me a moment to catch my breath. Im crying as I write this. A little while ago I said goodbye to my beautiful little soul dog, Jazzy. If you have met yours you know how heartbreaking it is or will be to see them cross the rainbow bridge. I miss her more than I can describe, her screaming with excitement if god forbid I had to leave her home. Hogging the bed. Riding shot gun in the car and Katie delegated to the back seat. Afternoon walks, beach trip pouncing through the water to catch fish, treasure hunts in the house. and squishing her face telling her "I love you, your my favourite" and yes my kids knew 🤣. Always in the workshop keeping me company, and so quite now. The absolute light of my life, I was so blessed she choose me for her human. This was the last video I took of Miss Jazz. The first time a stuffed toy was loved and didn't get destroy.

Today was would have been 15.

Happy heavenly birthday Princess Jazzy. I hope your catching all the fish. 🤍🤍🤍🐕🤍🤍🤍

Anique English Oak drinks trolley.

Stunner is an understatement. Fully restored, I'm in absolute love with this one. Pie crust edging and gorgeous turned legs. Old finished has been stripped back, sanded and sealed with a non yellowing Polyurethane. Extra h**p oil for durability. Castor wheels have been cleand and restored back to original.

Bonnie and Clyde are in the house!

They may not rob you of your $$ but they will take your soberness 😉🍸🍹🍷

The silly season is here and the perfect time for a drink or 3. Whether is cocktails on the verandah or just a place to store your wine. Both have been painted in black with a satin finish for easy cleaning.

The vintage drinks trolley has been fully restored. Made from solid Silky Oak. Castor wheels have been restored and given a gold waxing. Featuring a beautiful black and gold palm print. Top has been given extra Polyurethane and sealed with h**p oil.

The wine barrel design cabinet just a stunner. Made from solid pine. Featuring a drop down door, inside a glass shelf that does have minor scratches. The same gold foil leaf palm print has been used on the back panel for a suprise detail.

Where is the time going? One minute it's Monday then I swear I wake up it's Friday again. Friday is definitely the do day of the week 🤣

It's been so so busy the last couple of weeks here. I was home alone last week so let my demo beast out, the Kitchen is now gutted, and the old needs a new home. Katie's managed to recycled some of it, the rest is getting tossed or headed for storage in the shed. So trying to get the workshop cleared out to makespace.

Oh and the white plank laying on the ground is covering and great big hole where there was no flooring, just an old piece of masonite 🫣. So if anyone may have some laying around, or knows the location of old hardwood flooring. Chasing around 4 lengths this refinisher would be forever grateful $$

Furniture wise there is quite a few bits and bobs ready to go. A sexy little black duo, some gorgeous English Oak, even a little Duck Egg if colour strikes your fancy 🤩

Tonight thou my handy work.

Baby step with the applique, Im still on the fence, I ordered 8 so a few more goes to sway me 🤩. They are so easy to apply. It was quite blond so I added a light Elm stain before attaching.

As for the sideboard, it may look similar to the original
🤣 Stripped, sanded, beige washed, tan washed, sealed and then a yellow wash followed with a final seal. At least it's not red anymore. This beauty is available. More pictures in the comments ❤️

Who loves a wooden applique?

Well they finally arrived, it seems like forever and a day I started this gorgeous silky oak sideboard.

Trying something new. I've never used any wooden appliques before. For me personally, it's always been a bit of a take it or leave it kind off thing! Let's see if this will be a new obsession. I do like to flog my favourites 🤣🤩

Friday feels, what a busy week. Im working on getting all the bits and pieces that have been started finished. This has been something fun to do. The last wine rack I did way back when, took forever to sell. I swore I would never do another. I'm now eating those words 😅

While I'm at it I thought I might as well re do a piece I painted a year ago. Sometimes my envision compared with the end results leaves a whole lot to be desired 🙃 It was never quite right so just sat in our office as a dumping ground piece.

So why not go the whole kit and kaboodle. There is also possibly a vintage drinks trolley in the works 🥰

These 2 beauties went off to their new home in Tiaro on Saturday. Check out how amazing they look in their new digs? The new owner thinks they look fantastic and has received so many compliments already. This is one of my favourite parts to restorating furniture, and makes it all worth while. I'm truly blessed that people come from so far away to pick up furniture 😍🥰🙏
