It's been 12 months since I packed up the Rumour Mill Espresso trailers and worked my last event.
A lot has changed since then.
I started chasing photography as a business.
And surprisingly... it kinda worked.
I picked up clients, started shooting for hospitality venues, and somehow found myself still working in coffee and hospitality—just from behind a camera instead of behind an espresso machine.
Then I spent the first few months of this year travelling through Vietnam.
Drinking coffee.
Eating incredible food.
Meeting people.
Filming everything.
And that's where things got weird.
I was caught between being on holiday and trying to build a business at the same time.
Never fully working.
Never fully resting.
The result?
Months of footage sitting untouched on a hard drive.
If I'm being honest, part of the reason is that I had a subconscious belief that none of it was worth sharing.
Which is ridiculous when I say it out loud.
The other part is that I put my dog down at the end of last year.
That hit me harder than I expected.
For a long time I felt anxious, flat, and completely disconnected from creating content—even though creating content was the exact thing I was supposed to be doing.
Looking back at the footage now, I can actually see the shift happen.
The guy at the start of the trip isn't the same guy at the end of it.
So this is me finally pressing publish.
I'm back in Australia now.
Working with hospitality brands.
Shooting photos.
Creating content.
But the Vietnam footage is the next chapter.
And it deserves to see the light of day.
So that's what's coming next.
Coffee.
Travel.
Food.
Photography.
Follow along if you'd like.
