Yesterday, we had a visit from one of our trusted suppliers, who brought along their new IO seating range for our team to check out!

It was a great chance for everyone to try out the chairs, get to know the new range and have a chat about what makes each one different.

A teachers’ office has to do more than simply fit desks into a room.

For this state school project, everything was custom made to suit the space and the way the staff needed to work, from the workstation layout through to the integrated shelving and storage.

The result is a practical staff workspace with individual work areas, plenty of accessible storage and a layout that makes efficient use of the available space without feeling overcrowded.

So, what makes a good office chair?

The answer usually isn't one particular feature, and it isn't necessarily the chair with the longest specification sheet.

Before recommending seating, we look at how long it will be used, who's using it, whether the workstation is shared, the type of work being done and what the chair needs to withstand over time.

Because a chair for a meeting room, a hot desk and an eight-hour workstation shouldn't necessarily be specified the same way.

Good furniture specification starts with understanding the space and the people using it.
