Our Story

As a Recreational Officer at St Nicholas Nursing in Brisbane, I care for Dementia and Alzheimer residents every day. It broke my heart to see so many of these people sitting idly in their chairs, unable to participate with the activities provided by the facility due to their severe illnesses. So I decided something had to be done about it, and that is when Dementia Activity Pillows Australia was born! ​ I now create custom activity pillows for Dementia and Alzheimer residents around Australia. As a Recreational Officer I am able to work closely with the residents and see first hand what works and what doesn't. I continuously alter the pillows to suit their needs and hope that one day my pillows will be used in every aged care facility across Australia and around the world.

Our pillows are fun, unique and safe. Each pillow features activities and colours that are clearly presented so that residents are not confused or agitated. They allow residents to discover and engage, stimulating the brain and providing stress relief.
