CUSTOM MADE FURNITURE

A look back at this custom table we made a few years ago from highly figured local Stringybark, one of our favourite local timbers to work with.

We were lucky enough to purchase this timber locally and air-dried it for several years before bringing it into the workshop to create this table for our clients. Finished with Osmo Satin Hardwax Oil, it really brought out the natural grain and character of the timber.

We still have some of this Stringybark in stock, so if you’ve got a special project in mind, get in touch.

Custom-machined to suit the job.

Our client wanted a specific size and secret nail profile that is not available off the shelf.

We machined it to suit. Using kiln-dried timber from Grants Sawmill in Narrandera, we set up our 5-head moulder with tongue and groove cutters, fine-tuned the profile with test pieces, and then machined the full order.

Packed and ready for collection, another custom solution, made to fit the project.

From bridge timber to finished product.

Watch as this reclaimed bridge timber is re-sawn, dried, machined through our 5-head moulder, and prepared for its next life.

This batch is now ready for collection and will be used in Stage 1 of a pub renovation near Canberra.

It's always rewarding to see quality timber given a second life.

This local Yellow Box was milled by Adam's mentor, Marty Corkhill, around 25–30 years ago and carefully stored until the right project came along.

We're now turning it into custom kitchen benchtops, taking it through every stage of the process, from selecting and dressing the boards, to glueing, sanding, and finishing.

It's always rewarding to see quality local timber, with its own history, transformed into something that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

This log was salvaged from a local property to be processed rather than going to waste.

Through milling, it’s been transformed into usable timber with plenty of character still in it.

A good example of what can be achieved when quality material is given a second chance.
