Before and after… quite the transformation.
These old photos take us right back to when our babies were little and this house looked very different to how it does today.
But even through all the changes, the heart of it has always stayed the same.
There’s something incredibly special about watching your own children relive parts of your childhood in the same home you grew up in. Running across the lawns, swimming all day, playing pool, piling into bedrooms together and making the same kinds of memories we once did here.
Our parents came from very humble beginnings, both growing up in small rural country towns. Dad left school at just 12 years old to begin an apprenticeship before they eventually moved together to Port Stephens at 21. They worked incredibly hard over the years to create this family home and everything it became.
So this renovation was never just about updating a property. It was very much a labour of love in every sense of the word, with every single member of our family playing a part in bringing it together.
From design decisions and styling, to landscaping, painting, problem solving and countless long days onsite, so much love, care and history has been poured back into this place.
And now seeing new families creating memories here too feels really beautiful.
