I did a ‘volunteer’ job for a local business because it was a bit of a challenge…. Like Fred Hollows I was working on his adage ‘Bite off more that you can chew, and chew like buggery!’

I tell you I had to chew a lot…. !!!!!

I haven’t posted here for a while as I’m note doing as much earthwork lately….. I don’t go out looking for it but get work by ‘word of mouth’ and recommendations.

I still only charge $50 and hour for machine and operator (that’s me, Ian Schlein )

But, today I got an online ad for another Riverland company that ‘bare hires’ machines and they look really reasonable so I thought I’d share.

This was a little job for a couple of hours but turned into an all day dig…. Rain didn’t help. 🤷‍♂️ ☔️

Nice little job..... 25 metres, 300 deep trench 2 hours (is that good with a back hoe?)..... thanks to the landowner for pointing out the underground cables and pipes..... almost got surprised from ones that can be described as "where did those come from" no damage done - filled in the next day and levelled in no time!

Moved a bit of crusher dust yesterday .... two hours work for the Kubota..... beats a wheel barrow and shovel!!!!..... but, 12 ton doesn’t go far?
