This is a project we took on 18 months ago - designing and installing some corten steel decorative fence panels around a new pool area. 🌾🏊‍♂️🌾

The customer's brief was clear, and their vision was exciting. We wanted to help it all come to life, and that's exactly what we did! 🙂

We designed and installed the fencing just over 12 months ago. And just before Christmas last year, we were sent some photos of how the fence is looking now. Corten steel is designed to naturally rust over time while still holding the integrity of the material, and the finished look is coming up a treat! 👍

Here at Bendigo Metalworks, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced structural welder to join our team in a full time capacity. Start date negotiable.

Are you confident in your welding ability and have a positive, hands on approach to all projects and workshop tasks?

Our fully equipped workshop carries out a range of projects with tasks including general fabrication, structural welding and sheet metal work, plus the requirement for local onsite work. No two days are ever the same, with a great variety of projects coming through our doors. We have a strong team oriented culture and would need you to be able to both adhere to and help implement our commitment to a safe working environment.

This role has the potential to become a leadership position for the right person, so excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are a must. We want someone committed and mature minded and leadership experience in a similar manufacturing environment would be a bonus. Remuneration will be dependent on skill set and level of experience.

We are looking for someone who:
- has a strong work ethic
- has good communication and problem solving skills;
- is punctual, honest and reliable;
- can interpret detailed fabrication drawings;
- shows initiative, has attention to detail and takes pride in their workmanship;
- can work efficiently and skillfully;
- holds a driver's licence, forklift licence and an MR+ licence (preferred).

Here's a recent project we've been working on for Newstead Primary School - just finishing off our part of it this week! ✔️

It's a new outdoor undercover area, and will be a great addition to the school. 🏣 And it was great to be involved and help bring the project to life.

A big thanks to all of the boys here for for their hard work and determination on this one! Ben, Damo, Joe, Jack, Pat, Greg & Les - well done fellas! 🙌👏💪

When the boys at BB Harvesting came to us with an auger dilemma, we put our hand up to come to their rescue! 🙋‍♂️ As harvest is almost upon us, we jumped straight onto the project and set to work on the tools. 🔧🔩⚙️🔨

Their original auger was one complete unit, and this made it annoying to replace the bearing. 🤦‍♂️ We've now created a replacement that's in two pieces, making life easier.

So it's out with the old and in with this more robust shiny new one! Made to measure and just what they were after! 👍
