Hi I’m Jess, and together with my hubby Pete have an absolute passion for refurbishing and transforming unwanted/outdated furniture otherwise destined for landfill into beautifully up-styled pieces that will adorn homes for many more years to come. This is our hobby and passion which keeps us very busy secondary to our main jobs. We by no means claim to be

‘professional’ furniture restorers or upholsterers….however, our countless *****reviews and recommendations are evident of how pleased and satisfied our customers are with our services. We are just a wife and husband having a blast, up- styling furniture to the BEST of our abilities..... we create & sell what we love for you to enjoy! We are not a shop. Our workshop is at home, and we have a small studio room for all our finished and bespoke pieces which customers/clients collect from and browse our other pieces.

✨Today’s fresh drop-off at Relics Revamped!

🚛This gorgeous timber hutch with leadlight glass detail and carved corbels just arrived to the RR workshop.

🎯The goal/vision: A complete custom transformation to turn it into a multi-functional mudroom storage concept for a client’s hallway - finished in colors that blend seamlessly with my client's home.

📋The Strategy:

-Preserving the Leadlight: We’re keeping the original glass doors so items stay tucked away for a neat, tidy look.

-Storage: Removing the upper shelving inside and retrofitting the interior with heavy-duty coat hooks.

-Concealed Shoe Storage: Keeping the lower cupboards closed where pull-out baskets will be used for easy shoe organization.

It’s the perfect blend of hidden storage and timeless character. Stay tuned for the final reveal! 👇

🧳Back from break….

Holiday brain cleared, unpacked, ☕️caffeinated, 🛠️tool belt back on and diving straight back into the workshop and officially back in the 🪚sawdust! 🙌🏻

☝🏻First up on the post-holiday agenda is this massive kitchen hutch (delivered yesterday) She’s giving serious retro vibes right now, but I’m about to give her a full glow-up so she fits right in with the rest of my client’s home.

🌴 Out of the workshop & Into the Sunshine! ☀️

Thought I’d pop in here since you’ve probably noticed things have been a bit quiet lately! There’s a very good reason for that: we’ve just wrapped up a 12-day Malaysian tour.
I’m writing this as we wave goodbye to our tour group and embark on the next leg of our journey.
It feels absolutely amazing to be escaping the chilly Victorian winter!🥶

⚒️What's Waiting on the Workbench 🛠️

While I'm enjoying the break, I’m already looking forward to some fantastic client projects lined up for when we get back home. The workshop is going to be packed! On the schedule, we have:

*A massive 8-seater dining table and 8 matching dining chairs.
*A bookcase/cabinet ready to be completely repurposed and redesigned.
*A couple of wall units and a beautiful display cabinet.

Phew! That should definitely keep me out of trouble for a while. I am so incredibly excited to transform these pieces and give them a whole new lease on life 🙌🏻
But for now? It’s time for a bit of R&R, plenty of sunshine, and a few cocktails by the pool. 🍹

✨When I first started this refurbishment venture, my goals were pretty simple: save a piece from the landfill, give it a new lease on life, and find it a good home. Back then, every single sale felt like a massive milestone (and honestly, it still does!).

But as time goes on, I’ve realized something even better. Making a sale IS wonderful, but the absolute best feeling in this refurbishment journey is seeing a familiar face return for their next piece.

There is nothing quite like the compliment of someone trusting you with their home not just once, but twice. It tells me that the love, time, and design I put into my work truly resonates.

To everyone who has supported my refurbishment adventures and especially to those who keep coming back for more, thank you🙏🩷
