Well thatā€™s a clear distinction in sound from before and after bearing change. I canā€™t do anything about the slight rattling sound as it would mean a complete tear down and refurbishment of all moving parts, but the main issue is dealt with so let the making commence, plus the dialled in in-feed table and out-feed table front to back end to end is now to a acceptable standard of 0.038mm or 0.0015ā€ (the thinnest feeler gauge I have.

Well that was easy pressing those bearings on, all in a matter of minutes. Upside to this impromptu side endeavour is now I have a 20t hydraulic press which will come in handy later down the track. I guess every cloud has a silver lining.

Slowly she goes! The light at the end of the tunnel for the Skandi Record Sideboard is getting closer. 1 door sized and ready for hinge fitting. A little elbow grease and the low angle Lie Nielsen block plane got the gap rather precise.šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø
