Australian Red Cedar extension table around late 1870s. Total re-do for the top. Looks can be deceiving has deep scratches throughout.
This well take 10 weeks or so to hand polish, can’t be rushed for a good lasting finish.
Old finish removed careful preparation - a coat of polish - grain filled and now left to dry. Early process at the moment.

For a lovely lady from Eastern Europe. Good quality mechanism, mahogany timber, box dovetail joints with boxwood stringing.
