Milestone Benchtops is a quality stonemason company. We specialise in supplying, fabricating and installing Marble, Granite and Engineered stone surfaces to kitchen benchtops, bathroom vanities, bars and commercial projects.
We are seeking a CNC machine operator to join our team. This opportunity requires someone who is stable, reliable, has excellent attention to detail, able to think and problem solve independently and enjoys working in a team.

The Role:

Key duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

• CNC CAD/CAM (programming) for all types of stone i.e. engineered stone, natural stone (marble, granite, dekton, porcelain etc.) and matching, veins, batches, colour and tone.
• Properly and safely load and unload slabs/offcuts into machinery.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• Great attention to detail and highly Organized.
• Ensuring that project turn-around times are met and jobs are followed.
• Measuring via digital templater.

Your Profile:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success within a similar role or work environment. Highly desirable attributes include;

• Experience operating CNC Machinery.
• Drivers Licence.
• Excellent time management skills, this role requires strict adherence to deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills to ensure projects run smoothly and within the required time frames.
• A strong technical understanding of stonemasonry and all the different types of materials and finishes.

Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:

• >2 years working in a stonemasonry experience or running and operating CNC machines.

Preferred Experience and Education:

• >5 years working in a stonemasonry factory operating CNC machinery.
• Certificate IV in Engineering (CNC Programming).

Required Skills:

• Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
• Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Mathematics - Using mathematics to solve problems.
