Safer Access to Lefevre Peninsula Beaches and Port River

Safer Access to Lefevre Peninsula Beaches and Port River https://www.facebook.com/safelefevre There are serious issues surrounding access to the beach.

We seek your support to enable improved access for Lefevre Peninsula residents and others with improved pedestrian access to our beaches and Port River

Raised timber ramps for locations accessed by a large number of residents. Over the years the distance from the road to the foreshore has gradually increased by many metres. It is no longer a short stroll, and is dangerous, with Snakes active or s

everal months of the year. It can cause serious injury from blistering sand and foreign sharp, objects hidden in the sand

Issues include:
Elderly and disabled Residents with Access Restrictions
Parents and Carer’s with Prams, strollers, and carts
People walking dogs to and from Beach
Walking children to and from Beach
Brown snakes. Hot , blistering sand
Damage to vegetation

We ask Council to be aware of the safety and access concerns and look at ways in which it can be resolved before a serious injury or fatal accident occurs.
