Finishing off the part the router can’t reach.

Corners like these are cleaned up by hand with a sharp chisel, but there’s a little more to it than simply chopping away the waste.

Before removing material, I’ll sever the fibres where the chamfer intersects the perpendicular edge. That cut creates a stopping point, so when I come back from the other direction the waste breaks away cleanly at the severed fibres rather than continuing past the join and tearing out.

It’s a small detail that takes only a few seconds, but it’s the difference between a crisp, clean chamfer and one that needs repairing.

The finer details are usually where the craftsmanship lives.

Every custom piece starts with a conversation.

If you’re looking for bespoke furniture made to suit your space, the process is simple.

1. Submit an enquiry through my website.
2. Complete the custom furniture design form.
3. Receive an initial project estimate.
4. If you’d like to move forward, I create detailed designs. A design fee of 10% of the initial estimate applies only if you decide not to proceed with the build.
5. Once the design is approved, I send through a formal quote and invoice for a 50% deposit.
6. After the deposit is received, materials are ordered within 7 days.
7. You’ll be updated throughout the build and provided with an estimated completion date.
8. Prior to delivery, installation, or collection, the remaining balance is due.

From first enquiry to final installation, every step is designed to be clear, transparent, and tailored to you.
