At casadellasensa in Venice, two Still follow the changing rhythm of the home. Placed against the wall, one becomes a precise desk for everyday use; joined together, they form a generous central table for lunches and dinners. The Hug , in the same finish, completes a composition defined by function, proportion, and material continuity.

We live in a time when production tends to separate what still holds value from what no longer does. A boundary that is often drawn too quickly, leaving materials rich with potential at the margins.

Materia Prima by Antônio Frederico Lasalvia begins with a question: what happens when what is considered a residue is once again seen as a resource?

Before being about form, the project is about a shift in perspective. An invitation to recognise existing matter not as an ending, but as a point of departure. To read what remains not as a deficiency, but as a trace capable of generating new relationships.
