Wood If I Could Abu Dhabi

Wood If I Could Abu Dhabi Modern outdoor furniture and accessories built by hand to last. How did this all start? I have been looking to do something I enjoy for a while now.

A good friend said “why don’t you make things, you always used to”. I though about it and wood if you could was born. I really like the weird the unusual, but can turn my hand to most things - everything is possible.

This mahogany log slice started to split. I used epoxy to fill the split . It should polish up nicely

Didn't have much luck with real fish today so I made something with a metal one. It will dry overnight so I'll finish it...

Fish. Become strangely fascinated by dead fish so I shout I would see if I could mont some in Epoxy resin. Unfortunately...

Fish. Become strangely fascinated by dead fish so I shout I would see if I could mont some in Epoxy resin. Unfortunately fish react with epoxy (seriously) a lot of bubbles and heat and a ruined fish head. Moving forward I have a whole fish that I have dipped in clear varnish hoping this will make a difference. We shall see

Final coat looks good. Tomorrow the horror of cleaning everything up. Cant wait!

Today was more complicated than I imagined it would be. The epoxy expert Tomi was reassigned so I carried on regardless....

Today was more complicated than I imagined it would be. The epoxy expert Tomi was reassigned so I carried on regardless. It was a steep learning curve resulting in a 100% budget overspend , a lot of mess, the purchase of a hair dryer and the loss of my beard. Learnt loads won't do most of it again. The next one however will be excellent.. I'll see if I can finish the epoxy surface tomorrow..

Finished the build just need to do the tricky bit tomorrow, the epoxy..
