It's not always about the big hit list mammals. The lilac breasted roller adds spectacle and vibrance to any game drive.

By focusing on some of the "smaller things" on a safari, you often get a better understanding of the whole ecosystem - something we try to focus on while on safari.

Such a privilege to spend majority of the day with this leopard on our most recent safari. Patience paid off when after a few hours she got up, climbed the tree next to us and scanned the vlei. After spotting a steenbuck she climbed down and went into stealth mode, she suddenly stopped and looked back towards us - spotting a bat eared fox popping its head out of its burrow...
