There is something different about a piece made by hand. You feel it before you can explain it.

Hark was never built for volume. It began as a family belief that furniture shapes how people gather, rest and connect.

For over two decades, I’ve worked in hospitality, creating pieces for lodges, hotels and homes across South Africa. What matters is not just how something looks on day one, but how it holds up years later.

Grain direction. Joinery integrity. The weight of solid timber. The way fabric sits.

These are not details. They are decisions.

We work with skilled local makers who understand material as living matter. Our role is to shape it with intention.

In a fast-moving world, physical spaces matter more than ever. The furniture within them carries that responsibility.
