One hand crafted design at a time. He’s a little bit country. She’s a little bit bohemian. Together they are Grit and have set out to design, build and hand craft one of a kind furniture statement pieces made from reclaimed materials. Sure, it would be easy enough to run to the local hardware store, pick up some brand spankin’ new lumber, or shiny new hardware and get bui
lding. But here at Grit Furniture, the goal is clear.

As much of the materials as possible used at Grit are reclaimed. Whether they spent their previous life building character as a barn, or a 150 year old Victorian home in Chicago, or a desk that just isn’t needed or a side table that just has no side to table anymore - they want to live again. That’s where Grit comes in. We’re bringing life back to the better than perfect “scraps” that might otherwise be tossed aside.
