Finally....it's been a long week hasn't it?
I'm looking forward to NOT having to do the school run tomorrow and hopefully getting on with some painting 🤞

What's everyone's plans for today?

I'm currently waiting on a phone call from my Dr regarding a reoccurring shoulder problem (old age lol) Then it's a quiet one for me until school pick up.

Happy new year everyone 🥳

Yesterday I made a start on prepping this piece of furniture that was a free fb find (bonus) it didn't look it, but it was filthy (see second picture)
Once it was dry, I braved the cold and I sanded it down.

I'm not planning on selling this one once done, I'll be giving it a home.
I'll upload pictures of my progress along the way 😊

I haven't upcycled any furniture in a while (it's too cold to sand down in the garden 🥶)

I have however, turned my hand to upcycling some bit's I had left over from my Christmas decorations and made this bauble wreath. Not completely finished yet, but it's getting there. 😁
I've seen some really amazing one's, but this is my first attempt and I think it's going OK so far 👍

Made a start on this set of schreiber bedside tables and chest of drawers. They were looking very dated and unloved (scroll for before picture's) Now they've been brought upto date using Blackjack by frenchic, I've added quality zebra design wallpaper inside the drawers by Graham and Brown (sealed) and finished off with new D cup handles.

I've finally finished this little chest of draws and much happier with how it's turned out. I did originally paint it ballerina but I didn't think it looked right, so I opted for Nougat and dazzle me instead I've added dalmatian detail to the fronts of the draws and also on the top (sealed with finishing coat) then I lined the draws with Holden décor dalmatian black and white wallpaper.
I've sprayed the handles black and voilà.....the end result.

This is now for sale 😊

Where has the weekend gone? I feel like I've blinked & missed it.
I've managed to collect a few item's of furniture though & I've upcycled two pieces too, just a few finishing touches to add & I'll be putting those up for sale.
