After two weeks of this organized play room I can confirm that if it’s organized they will play.

I used to be the organized mom. I used to have the cleanest home. I used to spend all my time cleaning. The pandemic has changed the way I see my home. It has changed the way I view my worth. It has changed the way I value time. That being said the lack of organization drove every single one of my family members bonkers. We were all off. I’m grateful for a schedule again. I’m grateful for the growth being made in our home. I’m grateful I “let the house go.” I’m grateful for seeing my home entirely differently. I used to believe my home was a reflection of ME (just me 🤢) I see it now as a reflection of us as a whole. Happy Friday! Wanted to share my gratitude for the growth happening in OUR home.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, EVERYTHING in my home is versatile. Having furniture that can function in any room of my house has been the biggest money saver and creative outlet. I shopped my garage for this furniture (which also means I collect items 😬). I didn’t have to go to a store and get more stuff. I was able to donate 3 bags of goodies. Versatile furniture is my life hack, what’s yours?

I NEED to stop and I used to feel embarrassed by it for some reason (probably because it was out of necessity). Now I throw that ish in my mini van with pride. Like I’m a hero of the people cleansing their space….you get the idea.

Making friends as an adult is hard - but when you see someone online that is constantly putting themselves out there, and you feel drawn to that energy, it’s easy to make fast friends.

We thrifted, we lunched, we talked about all the things (in fragments ADHD). I am smitten with Renata. Thank you for making me believe in NEW adult friendships again.

I have always had a knack for making little spaces cozy. Blanket, candles, music, thrifted finds that made me smile. It wasn’t until I had children and my third home that I realized it was actually a passion of mine. When people would stop by my house they would always mention that a piece of furniture was moved. I thought it was natural to want your home to move when thoughts moved. Apparently, it is not as common as I thought.

Eventually, I took a Home Staging course in New York and my life was completely changed. I was finally in a room with people that restyled their homes as much as their moods changed. That was nearly a year ago and there is no looking back. I am honored to be invited into people’s homes. It is humbling to create spaces that when the doors close I can hear their sigh of relaxation.
