FROM FINLAND TO WOODBRIDGE 🇫🇮

We’re delighted to welcome Ian Macready to New Street Market this September for an evening exploring the life, work and extraordinary legacy of Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto.

Ian has just returned from leading an architectural journey through Finland, visiting some of Aalto’s most significant buildings a trip featured in The Observer this week.

For Three Aaltos: From Chairs and Tables to Churches and Town Halls, Ian will take us beyond the familiar bentwood furniture and iconic designs to look at Aalto’s architecture, interiors and wider creative world and why his work remains so influential today.

A sold-out room for Charles’ talk on his new book How to Enjoy Architecture with a fascinating insight into his work on Grayson Perry’s House for Essex.
