Canlin Handcrafted Traditionally crafted fine furniture, custom furniture, and furniture design. As a traditional woodworker, all of my work is done using only hand tools.

I am a self-taught traditional furniture craftsman and furniture designer in historic Winter Park, Florida. I have a passion for designing and creating original, heirloom-quality pieces of furniture that are influenced by the classic American and English furniture styles popular in furniture's "Golden Age". Most of them are antiques that impart their own history to the art that they shape through

my hands. Working in this way, I feel an intimate connection with the wood; its texture and grain reveal the hidden paths that lead to a secret beauty. I am a firm believer in preserving our planet's resources, so I use only woods that come from sustainable forests or reclaimed sources. All of the pieces I create are solid wood and are held together using time-honored traditional joinery methods such as mortise and tenons, pegs, and hand-cut dovetails. The finishes I use are not only traditional, but are also environmentally safe and non-toxic. My work strives to embody the skill, quality, beauty, and individuality that define the meaning of craftsmanship. When you purchase one of my pieces, you are investing in a functional and distinctive work of art.
