In this article I will cover a few additional growing containers that can be used in recirculating water methods to grow food. Lifting water using an air pump 👌
Getting ready to set up a few vertical towers to grow leafy greens and herbs now that we are in somewhat of a cooler season (well, it is sunny Central Florida 🌞). Amazing how much and how high an air pump can lift water.
Check back in a few days to see the vertical towers set up ❤️

Changing the water delivery (sump tank filled from Koi pond), on the vertical towers so that I can rotate them as and when needed to ensure optimal overall growth. Going vertical provides you with so much more growing options 👌

So Mrs. said you can grow whatever you want but I want a lot of Basil (I am out of Pesto), Marigolds, and Swiss Chard. Well then, I got the seedling ready along with a few specialty Tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Sweet Pepper seedlings. Now let's see how they grow this Autumn (Fall) season that has started out with drenching rain 🧐

I held the inaugural Aquaponics training workshop on December 10th, 2011 in Winter Park, FL where I had set up a boutique research food garden incorporating recirculating water methods largely based on Aquaponics. One of my challenges for this hands-on Aquaponics training workshop was how to incorpo

Hybrid Aquaponics is what I advocate and my designs also focus on "low cost" and "small spaces" for the urban environment.

Just over two months since I set up these vertical planters. We have already harvested a lot of leafy greens which have been included in salads, sautéed and also used in green soups. The vertical planters take up so little space yet yield an enormous amount of fresh veggies & herbs. You really should be considering setting up some to grow your own food - no excuse for not having space. All you need is 4 SF or so for one vertical planter. What’s stopping you? ❤️😍
