William & Mary Chapter of the NAACP

William & Mary Chapter of the NAACP Established in 1994, the William & Mary Chapter of the NAACP has grown to become a powerful agent of change in both the College and Williamsburg communities.

Following the mission of the NAACP Youth & College Division, we strive to: 1) inform youth of the problems affecting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities; 2) advance the economic, education, social, and political status of African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities and their harmonious cooperation with other peoples; 3) stimulate an appreciation of the African Dia

spora and other people of color’s contribution to civilization; and 4) develop an intelligent, militant effective youth leadership. Through our service and political outreach events, and group discussions, we hope to accomplish these goals and realize greater equality in our country.
